Sarah Jane Anthony

Hello! I’m Sarah, one of the founders of Smart Teachers Play More.  I have over 30 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership across Europe. My belief that all teachers and students deserve to feel happy, secure, valued, and inspired led me to pursue a Master’s in leadership and curriculum development, which culminated in founding Smartenglish Creative Language School in Spain.

At Smartenglish, I developed innovative methodologies for language learning, turning the school into a hub for creative education and well-being practices. In 2016, I met Kristín Einarsdóttir, founder of Play to Learn More, and together we merged our approaches to create Smart Teachers Play More, focusing on movement and well-being in classroom learning.

Our project quickly gained international attention, attracting Erasmus+ and other global initiatives dedicated to improving education. Today, I’m proud to lead a passionate international team of teacher trainers, continuously developing new courses and methodologies based on our shared experience and the latest neuroscience research.

Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, relaxing at home, and cycling in the mountains.
